![[hero.jpg | 350]] *Hero of the People's Republic award.* The title Hero of the People's Republic is the highest distinction in the [[Transelmany|Transelman People's Republic]], awarded together with the *Order of Fayowa* personally or collectively for heroic feats in service to the Transelman state and society. ## History --- The award was established on 27 Karpaji 668, by the [[Transelman Council of Saints|Council of Saints]]. The first recipients of the title originally received only the Order of Fayowa, the then-highest Transelman award established during [[Transelman Civil War|wartime]], describing the heroic deed. Because the Order of Fayowa could also be awarded for deeds not deemed heroic, a separate award was created and retroactively bestowed to those who had previously received Order of Fayowa awards. Other [[Hagioism|Hagioist]] countries followed the Transelman example and instituted their own "Hero" awards, which are all still used today. ## Notable Winners --- ![[heroes.jpg | 350]] Pictured above are three winners of the Hero award from years past: - Dani Fayzulin, Transelmany's first gold medal winner at the Continental Games. - Erika Giwa, Voromiraka revolutionary and veteran of the Velsh Revolution. - Jeki Avanzali, sculptor of the first statue of Fayowa.
