## Overview
---
Bishops of [[The Green|the Green]] (some of whom are also known as Priests, for their special abilities) are unique for possessing the ability to perform mitotic healing on themselves and others, a skill highly valued by the state.
Though it is rare for [[Flux|Florators]] to end up as [[Apostles of the Transelman Church of Saints|Apostles]] of other churches (they are not required to take the [[Apostle Exams]] to join the Green Church, thanks to a special arrangement between [[Yemisi Fayowa]] and Qa’ri), they do maintain a small presence in each of the other churches. This presence is entirely auxiliary, usually providing medical facilities and expertise in addition to trauma response. In this capacity they still serve as emissaries of the Green, and as a result they continue to wear cloaks of the Green and not their stationed church.
## Attire
---
Most citizens of the Green wear traditional clothing made of textiles native to that region, as opposed to the more standard, nondescript Transelman clothing that people of other [[Dioceses of Transelmany|dioceses]] wear, usually made locally and dyed in their home colors. As the ambient atmospheric flux in the Green’s dense jungles can be very strong, most citizens also wear an inner layer of insulating, flux-resistent layer of fabric under their clothes. This affords both comfort and protection from the heavy flux. Similar to the textiles, the people of the Green also prefer open-toed sandals to the closed boots that are more popular in the rest of the country. This is also a consequence of the Green preserving elements of the culture from before association with Elmany.
## Green Scripts
---
High-level medical bishops of the Green often carry texts detailing ancient rituals of healing using arcane methods like blood extraction. These are written manually in the script of the Green language and attuned to each priest’s flux, to render them redundant if stolen.

## Green Priests
---
Green Priests (or Priestesses) are special for their total control of plant life. This botanical faculty is of great value to the state, as it ensures an adequate supply of medicines & toxins for both internal use and export to their allies, the barren desert nation of the Velsh.

## Medicine
---
*lycorata* is one important Green medicinal plant. Proper cultivation & preparation yields impressive blood-clotting properties, an important first aid measure.

*rielle*, another very important plant, can be made into a potion with restorative properties. Allowing for mitotic healing without the aid of a Green bishop.

This was a huge breakthrough for [[Transelmany|Transelmany]], and the potions standard-issue for apostles. It meant that they could operate in more flexible teams (without the need for a dedicated medic), and the scarce human resource of Green bishops could be put to better use not in the field.
The textile industry is another important mainstay of the Green’s economic activity. Famous nationwide for its signature triangular trim patterns and iridescent fabric colors, clothing made in the Green is one of the very few consumer goods widely available in Transelmany.
