While it holds ~all of the former Velsh Kingdom, its authority is exercised indirectly through regional emirates, albeit with a high level of ideological uniformity. The only region of the former Velsh Kingdom that the Central Velsh Emirate was unable to capture during its revolution against monarchy was the massive island of [[Aswan]], which the old government fled to once its defeat was imminent.
