Galliani in 688 AL.
## Bio
---
Lucas Galliani (born 14 Quartus 619 AL) is a [[Transelmany|Transelman]] revolutionary and politician. He is the current leader of the Transelman [[People's Commissariats of Transelmany|Information Commissariat]], and is the spymaster of Transelmany's intelligence network.
Galliani was born in Karasili, and grew up living in poverty. As a child, despite having a weak connection to the [[Flux]], he showed remarkable proficiency in mathematics, and was recommended by a friend of his uncle's for a place in the Royal Academy at Muntbatten. In 648 AL while working as a teacher at the academy, he read *[[Deadline]]* and embraced [[Hagioism]]; two years later, he would meet its author in person when [[Yemisi Fayowa|Fayowa]] and the [[Transelman Church of Saints|Transelman Church]]— then consisting of just three Bishops, arrived in Muntbatten. He joined the Church as a new Apostle soon after and fought in the Academy Assault, playing a crucial role in the capture of the stationed Royal Deacon. When the [[Voromiraka]] continued their incursion southwards, he stayed behind in Muntbatten to help run the new government.
As the years passed, he would become a key fixture in the leadership of Transelmany. During the [[Velsh Union#Velsh Revolution (653—656 AL)|Velsh Revolution]] he coordinated the deployment of Voromiraka Apostles into the Kabir Jungle from Muntbatten. After Yemisi relocated the Transelman government from Muntbatten to Karasili, he followed her there, eventually being promoted to Deacon. In 654 AL he created and led the Survey Corps, a squadron of non-combat Alterators who were in charge of mapping Transelmany and reflecting the latest changes in territorial control. When the [[Transelman Civil War]] began, he was instrumental in the implementation of War Hagioism, and he dispatched spies all over the country to aid in intelligence gathering and reconnaissance for the Voromiraka war effort. He also organized the defense of Polaris when it was under threat of encirclement. His efforts during the war earned him several promotions, and increased importance-- eventually joining Fayowa at Central Command in the Voromiraka HQ in Karasili, as her Intelligence Commissar.
When the war ended, Transelmany created several new organs of power: chief among them the [[People's Commissariats of Transelmany|People's Commissariats]], and the Council of People's Commissars where their leaders convened. Galliani was appointed by the Council of Saints to lead the new Information Commissariat, which would simply reconstitute his existing Survey Corps and intelligence networks into the same central agency. He was also appointed as the de facto leader of the Council of Commissars, a position he has held ever since.
As he entered into civil service after the war, he has never been an official agent for any of Transelmany's [[Dioceses of Transelmany|twelve Churches]]. But as the leader of the Council of People's Commissars, he outranks most Apostles in the country: being second-in-command after Saint [[Marie Adonai]].
