*Charre at the Qaddar Majlis in 682 AL.* ## Bio --- Damian Charre (born 12 Quartus 646 AL) was a [[Transelmany|Transelman]] diplomat and politician. He was the second leader of the [[Dioceses of Transelmany|Fire Diocese]], and represented its [[Dioceses of Transelmany|Church of Fire]] on the [[Transelman Council of Saints|Council of Saints]]. Charre was born in Yola before the [[History of Transelmany — Foundation & Protracted Rebellion (648-658 AL)|Protracted Rebellion]], but his family quickly joined the local Hagioist movement. His parents died fighting Royal soldiers, but he was sheltered from the worst of the [[Transelman Civil War]]. In 666 AL, he competed in and won the second [[Apostle Exams]], held in his hometown. He joined the Church of Fire and immediately made a name for himself as a proficient [[Flux|Immolator]]. Ten years later, he would be chosen as their second Saint when [[Rebel Bishops|Founding Bishop]] Yusuf Danladi retired. An internationalist, he was known for advocating for looser restrictions on travel between the nations of Kedavaara, particularly the [[Velsh Union]]. In the time after both countries won their respective civil wars, a lengthy campaign of insurgency by monarchist groups developed in the Haqimi Desert. This made both Transelmany and the UVHE take steps to restrict movement between the land border they shared. Charre opposed this and wanted to deal with the problem together, but he was often alone on the Council in thinking this way, because Transelman apostles entering Velsh territory to fight insurgents carried huge risks. He would go on several diplomatic missions to the Velsh Union to make the case for deepening co-operation. On one such visit, he was ambushed by a group of terrorists known as the [[Crown Restoration Movement|Crown Restorationists]]. He fought them valiantly but was defeated by [[Crown Restoration Movement Leader|their leader]].
