*Isaac at the 24th [[Apostle Exams]] in 688 AL.* ## Bio --- Isaac (born 655 or 656 AL) is a [[Transelmany|Transelman]] writer, researcher and politician. He is the first Saint from the [[Dioceses of Transelmany|Church of Darkness]] and also is their current representative on the [[Transelman Council of Saints|Council of Saints]]. Isaac was born during the [[History of Transelmany — Foundation & Protracted Rebellion (648-658 AL)|Protracted Rebellion]] in Silent Hills, a small village 10 miles southeast of Goma Summit. Not much is known about his early life except that his parents died soon after he was born. He lived alone in the mountainous forests of Altus until he was found (and named) by [[Gordon Alastair]] a few years after the end of the [[Transelman Civil War]], in 665 AL. When asked by Alastair what his name was, Isaac said he did not have one. Alastair decided to name him Isaac and take him under his care. The Saint soon discovered that Isaac possessed an incredibly rare alteration of the [[Flux]] known as *Isolation*, the properties of which were not fully understood at the time. Alastair took him as an Apostle into the [[Dioceses of Transelmany|Church of Space]] in order to train these abilities in secret. By 676 AL, Isaac had become an Archbishop in Gordon's Church. A prolific author of research on the nature of the Flux and its alterations, Isaac was at the forefront of a movement within the Church of Space known as *Scientific Hagioism*, a process by which previously unexplained natural phenomena could be understood using a combination of Hagioist material analysis and experimentation. The next year, when the Council of Saints created the Church of Darkness from former Space Diocese territory, new Dark Saint Alastair appointed Isaac as his Dark Archbishop, with the understanding that the Church would be his to craft as he saw fit in preparation for his eventual canonization. In 680 AL, Alastair officially handed over leadership of the Darkness Diocese to Isaac when he was canonized as the twelfth member of the Council of Saints. Today, both Isaac and the Church of Darkness remain shrouded in mystery to the people of Transelmany. Isaac's priorities for recruiting apostles are unorthodox or unidentifiable connections to the Flux, and as those people rarely have robust social networks before joining the Church of Darkness, they're rarely eager to leave once they do. What little is known about the Darkness is predominantly informed by hearsay and rumors.
